6:22am: Blow everything up.
Social neworking sites, face to face, keeping up, wikipedia, texting, net on a phone... fuck the call. That's just simple! Carry beyond and on and on. Confused... disoriented...? No job, no help, desperation. What you know, what you're capable of don't mean shit without a stamp of approval. Notorized by factory farms of "education" Are you fucking lost or lost in the system? Can you even tell anymore? Can I even tell anymore? I hate this party cause they kill my freedoms and vice versa. Have we all gotten the short end of the stick. Sanity, rational, sense! Not on this planet. Not in this country. I want to be a blinded, ignorant winner or dead.

Tomorrow/aka today (at this point) potluck fucksgiving feast. Vegan/veg/meat all bases covered. 4pm get in touch for the most intamite of intamite's. For desert we will bathe in the blood of a red man I picked off at the local rez. This is a truly Amerikkkan holiday! Sadly no one is offering up the small pox blankets, manifest destiny and over all largest genocide ever known to human kind. If you can get any of the following please bring it so our white boy holiday is not incomplete. http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=818456&blogID=451688730current events are fun... or horribly depressing.

2:57am: Long time no see LJ
Sure I could type months worth of feelings, endeavours and experiences in this text box, but I do not honestly give a shit. So I only regret the passing of Mitch Mitchell. Drummer of the Jimi Hendrix Experience band. His drumming paired with Jimi's guitar style was a match a once in a lifetime. These two musicians have influenced me and brought me joy since I was a young kid. It was magical and now they are all dead.

work was dead as hell. Left early... Sucks. If could use some OT to pay for shit. Looked at some houses to move into today. Only one made the bar. That one went way above the bar actually. I we get the house I'll certainly be happier than a pig in shit. Big ass bedrooms, way too cheap for how nice the place is, nice neighborhood. I can't find anything wrong with this property. Moving very well could completely blow if we don't land this place. I spent $400 on nice BMX cruiser yesterday. Hopefully it is delivered before the end of the week. The bike should be a fun ride. First steps are ditching the pedals (hoping my ancient Perigrine P-41 Platforms are still in good condition, amazing pedals), chopping the bars as much as possible, nice bar ends, longer brake cable, chain tensioners, shorten the chain and slam the rear wheel. I quite riding when I was 18 cause I was way more focused on music. Sold most of my bike stuff and started buying tons of music gear. It'll be nice to ride again cause my bike used to be an extra limb for me.

I am moving... again. I just did this shit a few months back! I am not excited about finding a new place or the actual moving part. After that is over I think it'll all work out for the better. IT HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!

9:56pm:
Three consecutive days in October Tues. The Who in Auburn Hills Wed. DSB, Inmates, No Fucker in Clevo. Thurs. DSB, Wolf Eyes, No Fucker, Nightbringer somewhere in Michigan I'll take a gamble and say I could die right after that and be content. For the one or two record dorks that might read this, or any that stumble across on accident, mi amigo is dumping his entire record collection cause he needs the money. Despite my better efforts to persuade him to waste his awaiting fortune on hookers, blow, blunts and a Bentley, it will actually be used to get him back on his feet. Ohh yeah about the records. He has one hell of a fucking collection. It is actually painful for me to watch someone do this cause I love vinyl. So if you are rich and like rare shit search for Ebay user new_race. The second batch of 7"s is up right now and it is a fucking doozie listing. My life at the moment consists of long work days, long nights at the bar getting aquainted with some friends better or getting reaquainted with some old friends I've lost touch with. Hitting up any worthwhile show when I can is usually the main excitement (Nice View, Banjax, Hellnation tomorrow!, Witch Hunt, Pussy Pirates on Friday) Saturday I will take my first stab at recording a band digitally. So I have been reading tutorials for my sound editing software and figuring out how in the hell I will hook all these mics into my computer without a mixing board. Yeah fuck a mixer, this is punk! We're going ghetto rig shit however we can and be proud of it, even in the face of complete failure. I think I am going to try getting up at 5am for work tomorrow and this entry is already too long and going nowhere... and dumb. One last thing. There was a benefit for Max (see first entry previous to this one) on Monday. Max showed up there from Chicago rather unexpectedly. It was fucking awesome that he came for the event. As for Max himself he is healing really well. The worst of it for him is some nerve damage that can be repaired. I guess soon after his surgery he looked like a stroke victim. So anyway Max is doing well and still the same old doooood he's always been. The people that came out of the woodwork for it was a mindfuck. I got to catch up with people I haven't seen as far back as six or seven years. A bunch of Max's dearest who are in bands came out and played to give a little added incentive for people to show up and donate whatever money, hugs, rounds of shots for Max they could muster. As for the bands that played I highly recommend all the local yokels get out and see Summer Pledge sometime. I'd hate to say I am biased on this cause they are my friends, but they really are fucking great. Weather you like shoegaze or not I think Summer Pledge will satisfy your tastes just fine.

10:12pm: Standing up for your freinds... Pricey
My friend was just out having a good time with friends. Some asswipe, Gary Hood, was giving shit to a lady friend of his. He politely asked this guy to let it go (if you don't know Max imagine Bill or Ted i.e. Bill And Teds Excellent Adventure the movie) if you can picture that in your imagination. The end result was this Rumor has it that Gary Hood has fled to Michigan. If this is true find that fucker and string him up high. This shit bums me hard. Send Max support in any means possible.

12:25am: Random
Attention Span show in Detroit is a no go. Love this town! Met some queer, Mike, the other night in a trash bar. Random and great. Not a fag at all, but totally kissed him and promised if I got to know him better I would cuddle. Dude was a total train wreck though. Tear It Up - "Nothing To Nothing" has been playing for days upon days straight! Making new friends / aquaintences lately. All for the better. Brodys Militia is playing here on Wednesday... super happy. Heresy (the Detroit one, not the UK) finally having a record put out 18 years after the fact is fucking phenomenal! Detroit / Michigan has the best punk history ever. I wonder, often, how it came to shit. Needless to say if you like Discharge and Scandi hXc the likes of Riisttyt, Detroits Heresy is crucial. They do pre-date / contemperary both bands listed above and the likes there of. Crucial unheard of band for folks outside Detroit. I am just glad someone finally put out a legit release for them. The only downside of this 7" ep is that I feel it is getting shitty distro. and people need to hear this record.

Tomorrow - drive to c-bus. Hang out for the night. Get up crazy early and run to the airport. Land in Austin, TX several hours later. Do some milling about or whatever, soak up as much of the town as possible in a few hours. Then off to Chaos In Tejas and not sleep a wink for the next 36 hours or so. Fly back to Columbus early Sunday morning and it's all a wash from there. blah blah blah random shit nobody really gives a fuck about to infinity and beyond. Yet I wonder, not really, why I have few friends at best. My world has become a universe large enough for population 1. At least I keep myself amused.

Well Some lite distro news is up on the site. www.coatofarmsrecords.comLong time no see LJ I moved a few weeks ago. I live around M-59 and Dequindre now. If you are in the area give me a ring and come break up my otherwise monotonous life... I mean drinking booze and listening to records all the time. I have considered actually trying to make social appearances that don't involve a show. So I guess I may be seeing some people at the Garden Bowl or Post on Thursday nights, unless there is a show to go to. I guess I'd rather go to a show than see my friends hanging around a bar doing the same old boring shit. Who's old now fuckers!!!!!!!!!!!

www.coatofarmsrecords.comNO PEACE - Zombie Brains 7" $4.00 You're walking into an abandoned Chinese restaurant on Cleveland's west side carrying a bin of records and trying to dodge a wheelchair the punks are whipping at each other. There is a band making your ears bleed. They sound a lot like some good old Clevo. diy hardcore mashed with some 80's European shit like SHITLICKERS, E.A.T.E.R, DISCHARGE or ENOLA GAY. That band is NO PEACE. The "Zombie Brains" 7"ep is the debut for NO PEACE, boasting memebers of UPSTAB, GORDON SOLIE MOTHERFUCKERS & PUNCTURE WOUND, and Decision Of Fate Records. www.coatofarmsrecords.comcoatofarmsdistro AT yahoo.com

Sounding like a groovier BL'AST with some chugging two step parts. Only these boys aren't kicking it on the sunny seaside beaches of Claifornia. They are rocking some cold dirty mid-west hardcore. www.coatofarmsrecords.comNo PM's Email only coatofarmsdistro AT yahoo.com On another note if anybody has a bunch of zines they don't want, please give them to me. www.coatofarmsrecords.com2/15/08 ACURSED - Tunneln I Ljusets Slut LP $9.00 Brutal, devastating metallic hardcore from Sweden, over loaded with feedback as it blasts track after track of savagely shouted, throttling hardcore that slows only to deliver mid-tempo crushing blows . ACURSED, like many of the classic Swedish punk bands, are enigma that surfaces haphazardly to unleash a new set of harsh tracks, previously with several records on Sweden's PUTRID FILTH CONSPIRACY label and the DISTORTION label. Akin to the HIS HERO IS GONE / TRAGEDY/ FROM ASHES RISE school of dark riffs and mood, and the classic original " Prank Sound", "TUNNELN I LJUSETS SLUT" is ACURSED's years-in-the-making prank debut, and one of the most bleak releases on the label yet- with minimal artwork, the band chose to not even provide song titles in the packaging to keep from distracting from the music and mood. Members also play in VICTIMS (Havoc Records), SUNDAY MORNING EINSTEINS (Prank), SAYYADINA (Sound Pollution). DYSTOPIA - S/T LP $9.00 At long last, the final Dystopia full length is now out. This record contains 6 new tracks, plus a cover of an unreleased song by Dino's old band CARCINOGEN. Recorded at Tim Green's LOUDER STUDIOS during various sessions between 2004-2005, this record is the last chapter of Dystopia's existence writing bleak and heavy doom ridden punk. The LP is available now on clear vinyl and come with a 20 page color booklet. GEHENNA - The War Of The Sons Of Light And The Suns Of Darkness LP $10.00 The long awaited re-issue of all Gehennas early and out of print material. Demos, splits, and 7" tracks and hard to find bonus tracks, all available on one gatefold LP for the first time ever! Comes with a poster insert! SHEARING PINX / MUTATORS - Split LP $10.00 Spastic thrash and deceptively chaotic freakout droolery from two bands that stand out in Vancouver's exploding neo-no wave/art-damaged punk scene with a degree of focus and aggression often aspired to but very rarely achieved. SHPX deliver one long, wailing psych-punk epic while the Mutators blaze through five shocks of discordant hardcore that come across like Void meets No New York. SPAZZ / 25 TA LIFE - Split 7" $4.00 Finally available after around oh…eight or so years. Why the delay? At this point I’m not even sure myself. What was kind of an inter office joke at one point, became a reality after a few emails. DIY exists in every facet of hardcore, and this record was a meeting of the minds at the time. Two scenes one record with the same common goal. All of these songs were exclusive to this release at it’s point of creation, over the years they have leaked onto various releases, discography’s etc. West Coast power violence legends SPAZZ deliver four songs of the standard SPAZZ fan fair. Typical Hardcore Song #1, Old Youth, A.S.A.L., and Angel Crisp. On the flip you have DIY or die NYHC legends in the making 25 TA LIFE. Everyone’s favorite thug Rick Ta Life and co., are cranking out two standard mosh it up and sing along songs here. I started a music blog so go download free music from it. ...PRETENTIOUS ASSHOLESIt is a collaboration with other scumbags. So it should turn out to be pretty rad. Nothing is posted up yet, but I will start by re-uploading records that I have posted in my personal journal. Most of the content will probably be punk stuff, but is not limited to that only. So who knows what will pop up in there? Rock, jazz, bluegrass, folk, your guess is as good as mine. Eat it up douchebags.

www.coatofarmsrecords.comMENTALLY CHALLENGED - Disappear b/w Surveillance 7" $4.00"There is a dragon with two tin stomachs. He rents out each of these tins to bands for music practice. And there is a princess in the jaws of this dragon. The two tins of this dragon are occupied by identical versions of the same band, who, through drywall, are consistently pissed at one another. These bands are always playing the same two songs a second or two out of sync. Both bands are desperate for the princess to arrive in their respective stomach tins. The first song each of these bands play, Disappeared, is the anxiety of a person running from scenthounds, but set to music. Surveillance is a voyeuristic sympathy song for all of those folks running from scenthounds. As the aforementioned tune addresses- it's a slow riffing epic, and it grasps at the doorknob. Thing is, neither of these bands will enjoy the company of the princess. A princess is meant for a dragon to chew up and spit out. Why does not this band know?" - Roderick McClain Confused yet? MENTALLY CHALLENGED is a band that isn't likely to be pigeon holed to a specific genre. MENTALLY CHALLENGED is a one man powder keg fiasco. Metal, hardcore, noisey, spastic, chaotic? All of the above apply. If it matters member of MIND ERASER and SOUL SWALLOWER. www.coatofarmsrecords.comNo PMs email only coatofarmsdistro AT yahoo.com Updated the show page as well.

RIP Sean Finnegan Some new records have arrived for your displeasure. www.coatofarmsrecords.comNEWS 2/4/08 SGT. SLAUGHTER - They Call Me Guitar Dickmouth 7" $4.00 Irreverent and noisy hardcore punk from Massachusetts. There's an obvious Jerry's Kids influence here along with other early Boston bands. NO traces of fastcore, powerviolence, or anything else here. Just hardcore punk with a clean, ballsy guitar sound and perfectly fitting production. V/A - Bands That Couldn't Give A Shit About Being God 7" $4.00 A regional comp 7" aimed at covering (mostly) new hardcore punk bands from the cities of Boston and Lowell, Massachusetts. The comp features Social Circkle, Witches With Dicks, and Conversions from Boston along with Out Cold, Violent Nuns, and Sgt. Slaughter from Lowell. The title is a piss take on the "Bands That Could Be God" Massachusetts compilation released in 1984 containing such bands as Deep Wound, Outpatients, Moving Targets, and others. V/A - Loreteland The Boston Tea Party Tapes Cassette $4.00 Lorteland was originally released on the Boston Tea Party label from Denmark in 1983 in an edition of 150 copies. The compilation features 66 songs by 15 bands including TZP, War Of Destruction, Crap, Klar Pest, Disaster, Camouflage, Freshly Riots, Spild Af Tid, Enola Gay, and Diarré from Denmark; Terveet Kädet and A.D.L. from Finland; and Impact, Indigesti, and 5° Braccio from Italy. The tape contains the original insert which has a small section designed by each band with lyrics and other info. This is a legit re-issue, but is not a pro tape. V/A - Ripping Thrash The Tape Cassette $4.00 Originally compiled and released by Ripping Thrash from the UK in 1988, this tape contains some absolutely legendary bands as well as some long forgotten gems including Heavy Discipline (UK), Halle 54 (Germany), L'Odi Social (Spain), Feed Your Head (UK), 2227 (Yugoslavia), GRB (Spain), KGB (Germany), III Kategorija (Yugoslavia), IV Reich (Spain), G.U.Z (Yugoslavia), Pax Vobiscum (UK), Pariapunk (France), Infezione (Italy), Crist (Yugoslavia), Subterranean Kids (Spain), Yugoslav Sun (Yugoslavia), No Fraud (USA), Wretched (Italy), KZV (Yugoslavia), BAP (Spain), Radikal HC (Spain), Extrem (Austria), Quod Massacre (Yugoslavia), RIP (Spain), Death Warmed Up (UK), Debauchery (UK), Genossen (Germany), Transgressor (USA), Blind Ambition (USA), and Inhuman Conditions (Germany). This release is an official re-issue in it's original format with full permission from Ripping Thrash, but is not a pro tape. V/A - Thrash From Spain Cassette $4.00 A Spanish hardcore punk compilation featuring multiple tracks by some of the best bands that Spain had to offer in the '80s including BAP, Eskupitajo, GRB, Gurilla Urbana, IV Reich, L'Odi Social, Radikal HC, RIP, and Subterranean Kids. Originally compiled and released on Ripping Thrash in the late '80s, this has been re-issued in it's original format with full permission from Ripping Thrash, but is not a pro tape. STATE / FUCK THIS - Split 7" $4.00 Legendary STATE rips some new tracks that are as pissed as No Illusions. FUCK THIS from out in GR with raw punk and female/male vox. This is the first time in years I have been, somewhat, financially stable. Which means I am spoiling myself horribly for a bit. Whick in turn means my record collection is growing at an astronomical rate hahahahaha, and one of my personal holy grails of vinyl came up on ebay. It only rears it's ugly head a few times a year. All of this means I am bulking up the distro. again too. Maybe some tattoos for the first time in years are in the works. Hello-Zombie-Kitty half sleeve... possibly! The only things I could ask for now is some warm summertime air loaded with more punk shows than I could shake a stick at. Plus a week where I am not working 50-70 hours a week might be nice.

Mix time! Ok so I have a mix CD nearly finished. It is themed. I won't tell you the theme. Amy and Nikole get first dibs cause I made it for them, but as usual I'll make a shit load of copies for anyone that wants one. p.s. this is much more focused than the "BANG" mix I did last time. Consider it a Christmas sucks gift.
